At the beginning of 2022, Beyond the Lake were the recipients of a Creative Victoria ‘Music Works’ grant, which enabled us to record our latest body of work.
Our vision for this album was to team up with some of Victoria’s most creatively diverse and musical minds.

Their collaboration developed organically during the numerous 2020 Covid lockdowns in Melbourne. Nick and Anita began live-streaming a series of improvisations called “Music for Sleep”, as
a way of helping those struggling with the pandemic. During that time, they performed over 50 live
streams and released two live albums, “Music for Sleep Volumes 1 and 2”.

During the Covid lock downs of 2020, Beyond the Lake began live streaming a series of improvisations designed to ease anxiety in what was a very uncertain time around the world.
